Lunatic Studios, well known for its specialization in Website automation and expertise in developing plugin for WordPress, announced the rolling out of its autoblogging plugin called the WP Robot3 WordPress. The WP robot brings together an array of sources and posts them to a blog which is in autopilot, hence enabling bloggers to save on valuable time and make more profits in advertisement in their blogs.

Since the launch of WP Robot in 2009, the WP Robot3 is the biggest plugin update so far. Many programs have also been rebuilt from the very scratch. Most of the updates were prompted by suggestions made by users that have used this software for several months. So, it is expected that this software will be highly successful and appreciated by the users.

The WP Robot has been updated with several options for randomization and changes template system. This gives the autoposts a unique and yet adaptable look. Another addition called “Campaign” will help in managing and structuring a large number of keywords for autoposting. Even the admin of the latest WB Robot has been completely redesigned and its major focus is user friendliness.

Amongst other very interesting features, it also has an option to replace marked phrases with other words. Another feature is that you can block certain words from popping up in your blog. It also gives you comprehensive lists of changes made in the blog and this can be really helpful in keeping track of your work.

These settings pages have become very complex in many cases and can offer a variety of features, including selecting where you want your sidebars placed, how many sidebars, which color/design style sheet should be used, or it can also offer simple things like places to enter your custom RSS feed, twitter feed, and Google Analytics code.    As I’ve watched these control panels evolve over this past year, it has been truly amazing just how much can be changed without changing a single line of code!

Nick Roach, the founder of the popular Elegant Themes theme club, has been offering complex settings panels on his themes for as long as I can remember, but earlier this week I was given a peak at the new revamped settings panel named ePanel.  This new settings panel is extremely complex and will eventually be added to all of the themes included with an Elegant Themes club membership.   As of today’s date, ePanel is already integrated into the following themes and available for download: eBusiness, eNews, ePhoto, PureType, Bold, and CherryTruffle.  Nick promises that the remaining themes will receive the same treatment over the coming month(s) and all themes will include this new ePanel.

So, what exactly is ePanel?   Here is a screen shot of the updated design:

As you can see from the screen shot above, there are a few bonus tabs under the General Settings tab alone, and there are a total of 8 tabs down the left sidebar.   The General Settings has the following 3 tabs:  General, Homepage, and Featured Slider.

After loading up the theme to see how the settings panel works, I have to say I am very impressed!   It looks like the General tab (under General Settings) allows you to select the style sheet color you want to use, enable/disable blog formatting on the homepage, Feedburner integration including all your Feedburner settings, and selecting the date format (dates are displayed differently depending on what part of the world you live in).   In the Homepage tab you’ll get access to category display, as well as the ability to exclude certain categories of your choice.  Of course the Featured Slider tab allows you to control how the featured slider works.

That is just the beginning though, as on the left there is also a series of tabs which include a large number of other settings.   You’ll find Navigation options, Layout Settings, Ad Management settings, Colorization, and you’ll even be able to control certain SEO settings on the SEO tab (mostly meta information similar to how All-in-One SEO Pack works).

WordPress enthusiasts Jeremy Harrington and Kenny Younger have taken the initiative of the WordPress Happy Hour event which is scheduled at Raccoon River Brewing Company on March 9. The Des Moines residents intend to use this informal gathering as a platform to unite the developers and bloggers of WordPress and to initiate a talk about the WordCamp which is going to be organized on the Silicon Prairie. Voce Communications is taking the onus of sponsoring the event which is originating in Des Moines.

WPHappyHour.org is the place where other communities can register if they feel interested in initiating a WordPress Happy Hour. The event would help unite the local WordPress Communities to share their ideas and help in getting together. It would be a common place for conversation and interaction among the writers, realtors and photographers. Jeremy felt that the reason for holding the event in Des Moines was that it was his home which gave him all the more reasons to get involved. He aimed at making the event open and inviting to the people.

The WordCamp event would also prove very beneficial to get speakers and sponsors to discuss the opportunity of making it a reality. He also expected the support of some other sponsors very soon. The event would largely have discussions that are technical and developmental by providing the same roof to share for content writers, bloggers and business owners. WordPress Happy Hour would also bring to light the level of involvement in the WordPress community in Central Iowa.
