Improvements of WordPress 3.0

There have been a number of improvements made in the WordPress 3.0 which is expected to be released in early May. This would only add to the ever-growing popularity of this great blogging platform. Among the improvements that are all set to come about, the most significant one is that it will be merged with WordPress MU. It would then enable the users to run various blogs/sites by the help of a single installation.
The WordPress 3.0 would also put an end to the use of “admin” as your username as users would now have the choice of creating their own unique username and password. The WordPress users earlier had to be content with the passwords that were randomly generated to them. The new version will also have the feature of Custom Post Types wherein users can create any type of content on their WordPress blogs. It would give the users an opportunity to display their contents in different ways.
Unlike earlier, this new release comes integrated with a better menu management. Users would be able to combine different Categories, Pages and Links with its drag and drop option. The latest release also comes with a default new theme, known as 2010. The theme can be used as a base for building custom themes as it includes Custom background, Multiple Widget Areas, Clean Design and plenty more.
Users can also create particular templates for each author of their blog. Authors can now post their entries with their respective signature. The best thing is that users can rest assured that they would discover many other improvements once the release is made.
